Tuesday

The flight was relaxing, and after almost exactly an hour's drive, we saw the sign for Colònia de Sant Pere. Our GPS guided us through the charming village, and even from a distance, a house caught our eye. It boasted extraordinary architecture and a striking facade color. Wow, that was it. The Longevity House. The only one of its kind. We parked in front of the house, awestruck, and saw a blonde woman approaching us with a radiant smile. "Hi, I'm Sabine. Welcome to Mallorca and to the most beautiful region of the island. And welcome to SOMNI." We learn that those who come here have made a conscious decision to do so, because there are no tourist hotels here. Just the way we like it. The house is definitely an eye-catcher. It blends into the surroundings, yet still stands out. In a good way. Sabine invites us in, and immediately an incredibly beautiful energy envelops us. To our surprise, the house is fully furnished and decorated. Everything is in soft, natural tones, very tasteful. Even the large dining table is set. My gaze is immediately drawn to a light linen curtain that flutters, framing the open terrace. And then I almost lose my voice. "Leo, Kim, Mali, please look at this," I stammer, slowly making my way toward the terrace. "WOOOOW," I hear Kim exclaim, "this is so cool!" My eyes are captivated by the breathtaking view. An unobstructed view of the turquoise blue sea, just a few steps away. “There’s private access to the sea,” Sabine explains, “but come on, I’ll show you SOMNI. The house is fully furnished, by the way. You’d just need to hang your clothes in the closet,” Sabine adds. SOMNI is breathtakingly beautiful. You can tell that someone has thought about every single detail. We’re standing in the spacious living and dining area, and I can already picture us all twirling around here together as a family. Sabine must be a family person, I think with a laugh, listening attentively to her explanations. "Artisanal Design." Here I can experience firsthand what that means. "Apart from the electrical appliances, everything was handcrafted by our artisans." As Sabine talks about the high-quality natural materials, my hand glides over the warm wood of the furniture, and I can almost picture the craftsman in his workshop. "All unique pieces," Sabine smiles, and leads us to the sweeping spiral staircase that connects the entire house across all four floors. This staircase is a work of art, I think, as my gaze travels to the top floor. "Yes, that's our signature piece," I learn, and Sabine mentions that SOMNI incorporates as many curves as possible to allow energy to flow according to the principles of harmony. Harmony plays a major role throughout the house. Among other things, there's a corresponding color, fragrance, and plant concept. "And what makes this a longevity house?" Leo asks as Sabine leads us into the master bedroom. "We're standing right now in front of a key part of it: the RELAX Room. This room was built according to the principles of biohacking and is one of the nine pillars of our A9 Longevity Concept. But I'll show you the highlight later." After visiting the other three bedrooms, all with en-suite bathrooms, the rooftop terrace with its Jacuzzi, outdoor kitchen, and breathtaking views, we take the elevator down to the basement. “This is the heart of our A9 concept,” Sabine says proudly, and together we enter the breathtaking wellness area. “WOW,” I hear Leo whisper, “this reminds me of our retreat. We could have this every day here.” “Come,” I hear Sabine say as I stand there, mesmerized by the details. She leads us to the lounge area in front of the huge glass window, through which daylight floods the room with sunshine. “Have a seat, and I’ll introduce you to the nine areas of the A9 Longevity concept.”
